Cleaned out the duck pond, went back to turn off the water and my older large Pekin female was on top of my young Cayuga female, tail motions and the works. I have three ducks, I get three eggs a day. The large Pekin was laying before we ever got other ducks. I was like...aliens took my girl and left me this drake?? So good to know this is normal, albeit scary drowning, behavior. Neither duck seemed to be bothered at all, but I sure was confused! Immediately came here and saw that I am not the only one with "confused" ducks.

I seen my hen duck fight back to my drake today almost like " oh hell no, I'm not in the mood" and she tried mounting him!! lol I told her she was a good girl and no means no!
