Thank you for help!

Hi! I emailed to a wild life rehaber several times since ducklings birth. No answer. A few days after ducklings birth, I tried to put it in warm water, it did great, but when I introduced her to a mama duck in the lake it was found, … the duckling got all wet, and despite mama duck coming closer and claiming her, baby duck ran back to me :(..
.. so rehaber only replied to me last Thursday. She was pretty nasty over the phone and called DEP on me 🤣. Seriously. The officer was nice however, unlike the woman “rehaber” , he took the duckling and I’ve been trying to get an update ever since.
As per rehaber, I should have never touched an egg. I know for sure that the duckling would have been 100% eaten at the location it was found. Can’t care for someone and wish it dead at the same time..
so that’s my tragic little story. No happy end :/
I'm sorry :hugs
Do you think this might make you want to get a couple of ducklings you can raise and keep? :)
