Subway is about a 10 min drive. The Capitol city doesn’t even have a Starbucks, Rapid city would be the closest. 2 hours. I could go to Pierre and get a good coffee from a local coffee shop that’s an hour away. Oh they have a caribou in Pierre! That’s like a Starbucks! We live kinda frugal anyways so it’s not a bother not having that kind of stuff.

No, because I go hang out with them at dusk. I’m anal when it comes to that. I pick up the food and dump some water, take pretty pictures of the sunset, hug my geese, that fun stuff. It’s my routine!
I’m saying you could live 20 minutes from a subway..... but it appears where you’re at is an acceptable amount of distance from people.
