THANKFULNESS

My husband is currently making burgers for dinner JUST BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I ASKED FOR! They smell so good- fresh, local grass-fed beef, caramelized onions, salsa, mushrooms, lettuce . . . don't worry, there's a veggie burger for the vegan.

I took the day off from work, my kids are all home . We all rant so much, me included, but right now I am just feeling very THANKFUL. Did I mention it's my BIRTHDAY?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thankful that we have actually managed to purchase enough food for the people that are coming, and that we are all heathly (mostly) and have a roof over our heads.

I am also feeling thankful today. Our whole family will be together for Thanksgiving, and my husband is roasting our homegrown 20 lb turkey. I hope it be as delightful as it seems like it will be. At least we won't be talking politics!

Hey, we are all alive.

None of us are sick.

The pantry is stocked, the fridge is full.

The hens are happy and give us cackle nuggets almost every day.

And wonder of wonders.. .it rained in Phoenix.
