Just wanted to let all you wonderful chicken people out there know that you have helped me out so much with your thorough and thoughtful posts regarding so many health issues.
Sometimes there are people like myself looking for urgent help when one of our beloved chickens gets sick and we don't always register
and so you don't even realize all you've done so-- THANKS!
My hen seems so much better now after all the advice I read regarding massaging a crop, giving olive/flax oil, good yogurt, applesauce, (& esp. isolating the bird as you do this-I put her in my shower stall overnight)......It seems to have worked! Also, I may add that I gently turned her upside down and much of the "sour" fluid drained right out of her...she seemed immensely better the next morning and continues to improve...just my own two cents worth if someone is out there reading this.....
