Hello, my name is Cari and I have been stalking this form for quite a bit and finally decided to just join!
I was able to get chickens 3-4 years ago when I met my husband, and moved to Pennsylvania from Montana. I am a dog trainer by profession. My husband raises working dogs and we compete in local to international competitions. We have a beautiful 15 month old daughter who happens to love chickens! I also raise goats.
I currently have around 50 chickens of varying ages. Mostly for egg production for our family/dogs but with all the shutdown stuff I have purchased other breeds for fun, more eggs, and meat for our family. A friend gave me her old cabinet incubator and I'm looking forward to hatching some eggs and selling some chicks.
Current breeds or mixed breeds are; Araucana, White Leghorn, Barred Rock, RIR, ISA Brown, Australorp, Delaware, EE's, Americanas, Asian Blue, and a red sex-link. I'm looking to get some black and blue Copper Marans soon.
