Lots of good info on this site about Goslings. I have one that just hatched a bit weak, but walking around today and took his first drink by himself. I have given him electrolytes and Poly-Vi-Sol. I was concerned about him not eating the duck and goose starter food. I read something about grass or romaine lettuce. This is Alaska so no green grass yet, but newborn goslings can eat romaine lettuce??? Do they need grit and this early age? If you have any other ideas of what I can do to give this little guy a boost please let me know. I put one of my ducklings hatched last week in with him for company, they are cuddling, but the gosling is very vocal, especially if I go away from him. He would curl up in my hand and sleep if he had his way.
