Thanks to everyone... I think we actually succesfully candled!

We have 16 eggs in the incubator. After a thorough review of the pictures on this site, we candled tonight. I'm pretty sure that 6 are good, 1 was a goner (cracked) and the rest are Maybes. My 5-yr old daughter looked at one and said "I see a bloodring". I just love the education my children are now getting. We bought our farm a month ago and during that time we've gotten 11 silkies, 16 eggs to hatch and had 4 baby goats born in the last 3 days. So now we have 11 goats, 2 donkeys, 10 chicks (one died on Sunday) and 15 potential chicks. We also have 15 chicks coming next week. How fun!!!

I just had to giggle, you have had your farm for a month and you already have all these animals. Oh my gosh, what will you have in 6 months! I did the same thing. We have been here 14 years and I am still adding animals. I love the country life! Enjoy!
