So after 7 weeks and a TON of research and work, my coop and run are 95% complete! All we have left to do is put the hardware cloth on the top of the run as soon as it stops RAINING!

You can see that the both sides have double doors, the top door is covered in HWC and can be left open for ventilation. The bottom door is for me to rake out the sand/poop when it needs cleaning.

As soon as it stops raining, we will be covering with hardware cloth and then a super heavy duty white UV treated tarp.

Thanks again to all the BYC peeps that gave advice and answered all my questions!

Just watched the news and its gonna rain AGAIN tomorrow! BUMMER....

Looks like the girls will be "cooped" up for another couple days. We have hawks already checking out the coop so I dont want to let them out in the run til its covered. At least the have more room than the little brooder they were in and seem to be happy, eating, roosting and playing.

Nice Job, cool looking little set up.
Wish mine was even started the weather here has been terrible this year worst April I can remember...........argggggggg should have been born in a warmer state.
