Old dogs suffering from dementia often "forget" to drink which can lead to concentrated urine etc.

Just serving fresh wet food instead of kibble several times a day (or soaking the kibble prior to feeding) will help to keep them hydrated.

He’s alright. Ate his diaper last weekend and freaked us out with his poop, but he’s fine. His next kidney checkup is in a week, I believe.

Hope he pulls through alright, I had an elderly dog as well, stress from high winds caused him to have non-stop petite maul seizures starting January 3rd and we took him to the vet every day, he ended up dying January 6th which was four days before his 11th birthday, I guess that was a good long life, he was a Pomeranian Aussie Shepard so I’m not sure how long that’s supposed to live.

Today was his one-month checkup, and his blood work shows that his scary kidney function tests from last time were a machine error! Praise God! He is alright!
