OMG That recipe a moderator printed on here somewhere, The 10 Egg cake recipe! It was fantastic! I halved it and made a birthday cake for my hubby's birthday yesterday. He loved it! Beware if you make it - it won't last long. We just about gobbled the whole thing up - just like two chickens when they're after those luscious grapes! You have to try it! OK I found it: 10 Egg Pound Cake 3 cups sugar 2 cups Crisco shortening 10 eggs 3 cups sifted flour 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup evaporated milk 1 tsp rum flavoring 1/2 tsp almond flavoring Cream Crisco and sugar together well, then add eggs, beating very well after each. Add salt, flavorings & milk, then flour. Bake in an extra large tube pan that has been floured and greased. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Check after 1 hour and 45 min. Cake is done if knife inserted comes out clean. For you newbies out there -- it's GOOD I'm sure this will be moved to another section.
