Caught another coon last night. My son wants me to skin it. I'm not sure I'm that dedicated a pioneer woman, I mean, I grew up in suburbia.
 
welp time to make coonskin caps for the whold family! Dont get lulled into a false sense of security where there is one there is more! If someone in your area traps they would gladly take the carcasses off your hands for the pelts

good. i've come to hate thoses things. got two big fat ones and it was disturbing to see them up close, dirty nasty but see how they coz so much distruction for sure.
 
That is an astonishing number of possum and coon! I know we have them around because we find their droppings all the time.

This morning looked out the window and saw electric sparks arcing off the chicken fence. Wind had blown it up against the grounding rod.

However, we have the local varmits pretty well trained to avoid the fence, so we still have all our birds.

I will be fixing fence tonight when we get home.
