The anxious call from the Post Office...

    Counting, dipping, and watching...

As soon as the girls came home they were off to the workshop. Chores and homework could wait!

Sixty two (of sixty three sent) ISA Brown pullet chicks from Townline Hatchery. These have become the backbone of my layer flock.

I order extras to sell which essentially pays for the ones that we keep for ourselves.

    Awesome! Very cute!

Fortunately I won't have to run to the post office, but I also have to wait until March 20th to pick mine up!

I'm getting excited though, only 19 more 'sleeps' as my daughter would say. I have my feed and my feeders and my brooder light already bought. Now to get a space set up in the garage!
