Thats not your designated roosting bar.

Mrs Little Chicken thinks my head is great place to roost.

She flies really well and likes to fly up there.

I walked outside one day when the birds were just starting to roost, well… I spent at least 45 minutes looking for one of my roosters, and then, finally! After I had almost given up! I went back inside to grab a drink before going back out and looking again. Then I found this guy on my couch. Turns out I had left the door open and while I was out, he must’ve snuck in and made himself nice andcomfortable 😂 🤣

And lost her up there 2 min later....next morning, out waiting for her....1st time is spot her.....on the ground 15 feet and a different tree and a bush away from there. Hasn't done it since.

She’s scen-icing (were one randomly roams around, usually driving, in unknown parts. Aka - lost), though for her she just wanted to see the Northern Lights!

I had forgotten I had this pic, but this was our then-7-week-old pullets on their first night home. They'd put themselves to bed before I expected, and they hadn't grasped that they were to sleep INSIDE the Nestera. So here they are, on the green coop roof. They were inside every night since, until I built an outside roost, which they like on the warm nights:
