Sorry, off-topic, but how many people here have dogs? If you have a dog, would you recommend me getting one? I always thought that dogs were too much work with no reward, but I have been rethinking that lately.
edit: i am just realizing that i might have posted this already! Oh well…

We did have a little issue with a cow that came too close to our property though. One of the dogs kept trying to chase her. She remained surprisingly calm.

I have 3. Not worth it. Just get one. My sister would disagree with me, but I think one is enough. Of course, I would never sell them now that they are here, but I really think one is enough. I like small dogs myself, but Kiki is the most picky dog EVER.

Get a small dog = likely very picky and yappy
Get a large dog = calm, but make sure to leash train early on and socialize them

That one cow kept coming back and was a loner. She loved to eat the trees by our property. I never knew cows were grazers and browsers, are they even??

That’s great advice, thanks! I like big dogs best, but I would worry about what we would do with it while we travel since we travel a lot. I will probably wait on getting a dog anyway, I still can’t see the reward.

Margo and Bean have a cute pupper too.

I recommend getting one, but be careful to train everything well, from the beginning. Auggie (one of our dogs) used to have leash aggression and he is still being trained on that, by my sister.

That is definitely a problem. They love you and I really love that about them. Kiki is my dog and I am her human. Its a great bond. They are very nice animals. I like dogs because they go out with you and follow you wherever. I like to take her on hikes and bike rides. For travel, we have an RV and a trailer. Works great for the dogs.
