How many times did you have to sharpen your pencil while coloring that?

Finished the greyhound. She didn’t take as long as I thought she would, I think she came out all right. Looks better from a distance than up close for some reason, I must’ve messed up the shading somewhere along the line, but I can’t figure out where, which is frustrating. This was otherwise a good attempt, in my opinion.

I think once. I used two pencils and one was for blending.

Also, I was curious how you blended (is blended a word?) the shading on the waddles. Did you just use your finger?

Great question! I use Q-tips. Love them. They work much better than a finger. You could use a piece of paper to put under your hand while working.

However, if you use something like an H, it rarely smudges anyways. I just erase around it once I am done.
