The 10th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!!

I have two that are doing nothing at the moment also. They looked fine a few days ago but I can’t check on them until this one that is hatching long side either hatches or I assist. I think I will give it a few more hrs. then step in.

On a good note I just had my other egg that was pipped just hatch. This one had been sitting all night so I was wondering if something was wrong. Nope it was just taking its time.

Last night i had a dream that all of the turkey eggs had hatched! I hope that dream comes true.
Congrats to all with new babies and sorry to those with losses.

I had a dream that one of my chicken eggs hatched as a duck. And I've never kept ducks... I'm sure I'm not the only one who had very broken periods of sleep over the last few days!

So the new baby was bowling in there with the last 3 eggs and my lone day 10 egg.

So I grabbed it and put it with the others and went and candled the rest. Two of mine still have no internal pips and maybe DIS . Not sure . There wasn’t any movement but I could still see some small red veins so maybe they are ok.


The one with the long ways zip isn’t ready to hatch. I’m not sure why it has such a long zip already. I can see large blood vessels still so I’m hoping 1. That the zip isn’t going to shrink wrap and 2. That it doesn’t try to come out.
