How big are the bowls? Holes drilled in the lids or slightly open? More details please.
They are small glad disposable containers. There is a cut in the top of the lid and the bowls are set upright in the incubator. The humidity comes from the evaporation of the surface area in the container.

I have used tow of them to get humidity up to 30% in my Genesis 1588 incubators.

I'm sitting here just twiddling my thumbs waiting on Saturday. I'm so ready to get my eggs and get this show on the road :caf also decided to keep some of my on eggs. As of now I will set about 70 eggs, so Saturday needs to come on before I go egg crazy.

Great idea Ron, thanks for sharing. How do you like the Genesis? I've considered upgrading so I can use my current incubator for hatching only. I haven't been able to convince myself yet.

I finally figured out how to calibrate mine and so far it works great! I’d suggest using a separate thermometer in it as well.

I have two of them, the old style and the newer one that is digital.

I have had very good hatches in both of them. I incubate in the Brinsea octagon 40 ex advance now and hatch in the Genesis incubators.

Count me in! I'm new here but not new to chickens. I will be loading up my Brinsea with eggs from my farm. I lost my best rooster to a predator over the weekend and don't want to lose his genes, so I am setting about 18 eggs from my flock. I remembered there was an Easter hatchalong here so I am excited to be a part of it!
:welcome
