Am I the only one slightly pissed off at my chicks that they are being perfectly normal and waiting til day 21 to hatch? Seeing all these day 19 chicks is making me want mine to hatch

Last hatch I had my first out like this hatch (silkie also) . I figured maybe I had the incubator too high ( 100-100.5) so this time I kept it at 99.3-99.5 degrees. Still there was internal pips at day 18.

Right before I left the house the 2nd chick was more than half out so I can’t wait to get home tonight to see it .

Pipping has started on my eggs! Really was expecting tomorrow evening to be earliest, but double-checked and yep, some of the eggs are not only shaking, but have a little dent in their shell.

Ok someone help ease my thoughts. I still only have the one lone chick out, all eggs but 1 have pips BUT most have been pipped for nearly 24 hours and nothing more has happened. I'm not seeing any movement although I do hear the occasional chirp...

4 eggs left. 2 zipping, 2 pipping. If they all hatch I'll have 100 hatch rate this time

One piped but never made it out. I think it died after that. I wish I knew why that happens.

I had one egg this year that was fully ZIPPED but then died. So close!!

When is hatch day? Ive had them pip and then nothing for days, then wake up and find a incubator full of chicks. Hope all goes well for you and your fuzzybutts.

I went into lockdown today. Total of 45 chicken and 6 duck, that's one more than expected of each. I must have miscounted the chicken eggs on day 14. One duck egg I thought quit was totally dark when I candled so I figured, what the heck, there's no risk in leaving it in the incubator. I've already lost two this year to being rolled into a wall and getting stuck, I decided to try hatching in egg cartons this time. Everyone is in their place and ready for hatching.

Yes, be patient.

Did the small end chick hatch yet?

Yes, it was out this morning when I got up. No assist, I pulled a tiny piece of shell off so I could see position and it had just pipped really low on the egg. Thanks for asking!
