The 10th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!!

Here's my final counts for the HAL...
32 eggs were set
16 chicks hatched

I think my hen is fine with just 50%.


For the curious, here are stats on the no-hatch eggs.
13 didn't develop at all
1 apparently had cracked and dehydrated, so I found a hard lump in a partially broken shell when I went to candle it
2 developed a small amount but died some days before lockdown

My Easter day hatch is now pipping, half of them will likely be hatched before Midnight.

I have one that has zipped most of the way and a least one pip! It's a bit hard to tell because they are under a broody.

All mine are under broodies. I have 15 broodies and 110 eggs. I know 1 jas hatched it surprised me when I went out to check on everybody.

If you have kids then use their leggo's to build a wall. I've done it many times. Keeps the different matings separated.

Big block leggo or knockoff stuff.
