Quote: I have this too, but haven't found a good block of time to read it. Bad habit of reading a book in its entirety in one sitting - though I have gotten a little better about "putting the book down" so I can get some sleep. More incentive to start reading it when it is given a good review by others.

*My teen daughter read "Gone With The Wind" last year for an American Author paper for school. She didn't want to read it, but I told her she'd love it. Funny thing is, she Did love it!

My DH is a constant reader, I couldn't believe he had never read some of my favorites. Looking back, I guess they were girlie book, love stories................but great adventures too.

I made him read Gone With the Wind, The Thorn Birds and Shogun, three of my favorite epics. The first time I read The Thorn Birds, the minute I read the last word, I turned back to page one and read straight through a second time. Shogun, I read it a second time, but stopped just short of................you'd know if you've read and loved it. I couldn't read that part again and never finished it the second time. He was pretty upset when he got to that part as well.

Quote:
Definitely read it..................there's a whole couple of kids that got left out of the movie, LOL.

I have a Scarlett (RIR of course)...............and I named a dog Meghan from The Thorn Birds.....................oh..............and an Anne from Anne of Green Gables.

Sorry for changing the subject from the hatch but, I'm sitting on my hands waiting on eggs in my incubator.

And I think it's just a friendly thread, it doesn't have to all be hatch related.....

I like your names : ) I have been trying to figure out a really good name for my Lav roo so, now Im thinking Orry from North & South.

I thought the Rhett book gave more depth and understanding to several of the people from Gone With The Wind too!
