I got a box of kosher salt this morning and as soon as I got home I set everything up. So far it's reading about 1 to 2% high, and it's been sitting there for about 4 hours now.

I got something in the mail today for a feed store that is way too far off to be worth going to. They're giving away one free chick with every 50lb bag of chick starter, but their prices are $3 higher than the one my dad goes to. So with the $10 in gas it would take to get there that 50lb bag of chick starter is $13 higher than what we already pay. I don't know about anyone else, but that is way too much for one chick.

Yep. I like our feed store. They only deal in one thing and that's farm supplies. Their chicks aren't just hatchery quality either since they buy from locals too.

Our's doesn't do anything like that. I kind of wish they did, but dad would kill me and them.

Sounds like some needs a cup of tea and a shoulder massage. Stop fretting lol Although, to be honest, I regularly go through periods of dreaming about chickens and have been known to get up at silly times in the night to check on eggs or look out the window.

Ooooh, that sounds lovely. Now all I need is a masseuse!
