Do you have an idea how much electricity it consumes (homemade incubators)? I actually have an unused (but still working, I think) small dorm fridge...it would look great as a hatcher, or even incubator....!I made mine using an old plastic cooler, a wooden box would work too. Needs to be something that has good insulation . . what do you think??
I made my own, took a few weeks to find this and that to put it together. I did buy a few supplies available at a hardware store ( WHT) and bottle lamp kit ( walmart) and this was my second try at electical wiring!! PUt a PC fan in my LG was my first!!

THe light goes on and off to keep the temp constant, so it is an expense. BUt I do think the least electrical cost will be the refrigerator.
