Wolftracks you have me laughing this morning with your 1 % comment.

53 is what I get too.

I count 150, plus your one = 151

Poor baby.......................but be honest, you just didn't want to leave US!

For whoever is record keeping, I set a modest 27 eggs, yesterday. Even so, all smiles about it!!

2 days ago a girl did post a pic of her lavender eggs. Said they were her project eggs, but didn't say what the project was. Maybe she was over on the natural eggs pic contest. They were pretty!
Were you talking about my project?

Maybe it should be a stupidity contest.

calm down !!!!! use one of your other thermometer gauge to test new little giant . There is more than one way to skin the cat. I an't get the spell chec to work. had to use the dictionary and the print was to little for me to see. so I had to get a magify glass to see it. Golden years suck. And I cannot spell either. the old brain isn't what it use to be...
By the way love the bottle of water and thermometer idea. OZ
So glad almost caught on the post.
Happy hatch to all the addicts......LOL

Here is the picture of the 46 eggs I set yesterday at noon yesterday (3-9-13)

SHe has LG's. Line the windows up with the turner perhaps? NOw that you are a day into this , how is it working for you?

Well, thankfully after the test run night on Friday where the temp dipped to 98.2 by morning, my LG seems to have stabilized, probably due to my leaving the bedroom door wide open and also having all those eggs in there to help hold heat.

It has been holding steady at 100.6ºF since last night, only fluctuating a teeny bit to 100.8F once or twice. Humidity is holding around 25% (dry hatch). Happy growing little embryos!

I did want to clarify about temperature - I was originally going by the sticker on my new-to-me LG with fan that said to keep it at 99.5 for all hatches! Then I heard on here that 102 was actually what a broody hen's body temp was, and I think Sally's hatching page says 100ºF. So, I have kind-of figured from that that I am ok anywhere from 99º - 102º and anywhere outside of that range I need to panic, aiming of course to keep it more towards the middle of 100ºF. Does this sound correct? Please advise!

Answered just before you asked!

Thanks for asking though! I am much more confident in my digital thermometer after comparing it twice with the small water bottle/medical thermometer temp as suggested by Oz. And the two windows ARE lined up with the two sides of the turner, so I can just see all the rows of eggs if I look carefully. Or did you mean crossways to the turner? That way you could see a small part of the middle space between the turner rows in each window. I have the old style turner BTW, the kind with metal strips that you pop the individual little plastic egg holders in for each space you want. See my pic for example...

Beautiful eggs!
Thank you! I have my local BYCers to thank for that! :)
Hi, lol..yes I am, I just got on to see how many posts I'm behind! This is crazy, but it's going to get crazier! Have fun!
I know, right!? You leave for half a day and are 30 pages behind! What do you have in the bator?

Here goes nothing! I'm a first timer, so hoping for the best! I am setting a total of 25 eggs.
6 Marans
4 Wheaten Ameracaunas
4 Olive Eggers
and 11 California White crossed with Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, and Golden Sex Link.

And based on my mathematical calculations... I'm guessing 6,743 total eggs will be set.
Above is my guess on how many will be set :)
