Yeah whats in your Bator as far as eggs ?

Yes it is lock down for most of us. Day is breaking here so took the opportunity to candle my suspected late quitter. Yup, it's tossed. Checked another egg for air cell size. Really not bad at all but would like to see it bigger. Stopped turning and took out the small cup of water to dry them out a bit more until this evening. Now to remember which of my cups gave me 60% humidity last year and I'll put that in this evening.

Of 24 set I've 15 healthy nearly developed chicks. Honestly thinking those 8 early quitter were due to water bottles put in as heat sinks rolling into eggs when tilting the incubator. Lesson learned. Wont be using them with my 2 doz shipped eggs due end of week.

I woke up to a buff silkie chick screaming lol I would not call that chirping or peeping! He is doing fine though and looks good. I looked in on my rir chick and he is testing his food and I showed him his water again and is doing well. Is it normal for him not to be standing up 100% of the time by now? I see him wobble low then he'll stand and walk that ways or less than a minute and drop and wobble some more, looks to me he's just trying to gain his strength just wanted to be sure.

I'm looking for a thread of monstrous double yolk eggs. Purely for posting a pic of an egg I collected yesterday. I've had a plethora of double yolks in the past but this one must have really hurt. Topped out my largest egg scale at 105g. That's 3.7 ounces!

I only have 11in there. I had 17 ,6 were not fertile so I took out. They are cross breed of polish roo over RIR hens. Just something I wanted to try and see what they look liked. . I know weird mix. I have coming some really nice hatching eggs,Sqh RIR single comb.

How about a Quail egg the size of your thumb ? I mean the length and width ?
