Ok so my final number is 9 hatched out of 14, 64% hatch rate. Just about right for a shipped egg hatch

I didn't even think to look for a hatch a long. But I put some eggs in that are due tomorrow, but two have hatched this afternoon and several more have pipped. (so far two easter egger/bcm crosses. The other eggs are pure BCM and pure Dominique)

My final number is going to be 7 out of 12 set, 6 serama and 1 duckling.

3 eggs left to hatch. 2 are pipped externally. One i think might have drowned - it's not making any noise and not rocking. There are so many cute peepers in my brooder right now. Photos soon. I just haven't had time with this crazy holiday weekend. How fun to have chicks hatch on Easter Day! And my 8 mo old niece was here and we took some photos of her with the chicks. She loved them!

My total is 11. 8 Midget White Poults, and 3 barny chicks. I actually had 10 midget white hatch, but the two that hatched early this morning were dead in the hatcher when we got home from Easter dinner. My hatch day was actually Thursday, they looked like they may have absorbed the yolk on time, just didn't hatch, so had no energy left.

That is interesting information. I have hatched silkies twice and did not do anything special like that. They hatched just fine.

Try again but try to get ones from someone local with a healthy flock. I would not the 102 thing.

X's 2! No 102 thing! I've also hatched silkies without doing this. :/

22 live chicks (so far)
2 hatched but died
7 still in bator (I am not expecting them to hatch, but will leave them a while)
53% hatch rate (or 57% if I count the two that hatched but died)

Shipped 16 via ground--7 days to get here. Incubated in an Octagon 40, big end up. 13 set in hatcher like the picture above. 11 hatched.

Studies show that all egg hatch better this way.

Sooo, question. Will it still be a good thing if I have had some in a bator for two days? Or is it to late to get the results that you are talking about here. I have thought about doing this, but if they really are seeing better results with studies..I'm thinking it's time I try..if it's not too late!
