Man, this thread is like a new puppy. You can't leave it alone for even a little bit, or it gets away from you

My Icelandics are getting a little more frequent at laying. I sure hope they keep this up into March so that I can have a nice clutch for hatching! You watch, they'll all go on strike on the last day of February...... I'll get my eggs one way or another, even if I have to squeeze them like ketchup bottles!

Only kidding. I wouldn't do that to my babies.

Hey Red! I am doing this too. I don't have fertile eggs in my back yard, so I have ordered some Welsummer eggs to get to me in time for the hatch along. I thought of getting some from where Sally got her blue ones, but I have some pretty good lookin, seriously olive green eggs that will be hatching and giving me babies that will lay some nice ones. I can hardly wait for day 7, may even candle day 6 to see if I can see some movement in there, and how the air sacs are doing. I better get a girl out of one of those, and I would love to get a buff! I'm going to have some nice looking eggs this summer.

Well just got back and luckily it was only gastritis, one shot, some pill and we got 144$ wrapped up. Came home and our pit bull mix is crying his hips are bothering him again, I gave him some Motrin and will watch him closely and probably have xrays done on Tuesday. The old man says we have too many pets and need to stop bringing them home. I almost think he is right, but sooner or later Zoe will want a boyfriend. But I think we can wait a little while on that one. OMGosh if someone would have video taped me trying to get that Pyr in the car, you guys would have laughed your butts off, one she's only been in the car two times prior to this time, I tried to trick her in one side shut the door fast and tried to run to the other side before she figured out that door was open, but no she made it before me, got her back in and as I was about to shut the door she escaped again I grabbed her hair ( lucky for me it is long and she doesn't get mad at that) she pulled me down in the snow leaving me wrestling her in the snow, snow down my shoes and down the back of my pants, finally got her in and started down the road, only to realize I left my phone and the vet address on the kitchen table (wasn't our normal vet, they only see small animals on Tuesday and Thursday) all and all she did well, she was very good at the vets walked in nicely and left nicely, and the old man was with me there and could lift her in the car. I really need to start getting her in the car more often. That was my day, how about yours

Want to talk about going on strike? I have 21 hens. A week ago, I seperated everyone into their breeding pens to get ready for hatching season. It is also now warm enough that I took the heat lights out of their coops. You want to know how many eggs I received yesterday? 1...one..oh..nnnnn...eee...1 today 5. But still comeon now ladies there are 21 of you. I should atleast get 8 - 10 even when you are mad at me. Oh well...they have 4 weeks to get out of their funk.
