Welcome to the weekend!!

I am so excited. I think I may have found some bantam SL cochins to set for the Easter hatch. It is all going to depend on timing, but if it works I will set them and my bantam B/B/S orpingtons.

I hope all you on the East coast are safe and warm during this blizzard weather. At least it is the weekend. It would be awesome except for the wind. Here in Ohio we only got the cold.

Silly hubby went to work yesterday! So I taught myself how to plow the driveway with the ATV W/blade. Got it stuck in all the snow a couple times, but got out ok. Did some hand shovelling, and hubby managed to get the SUV in ok last night. He can do a better job of it today. Haven't seen this much snow since I lived in Winnipeg or Montreal!

So sorry to have missed the Fun Facts yesterday. It has been a busy couple of days. My property manager is off on medical leave, maintenance man on vacation and assistant had a death in the family. So I am busyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Thank goodness its the weekend

We are T-29 days to set day? Seems like I already posted that number...I may be losing my mind here.

Todays Chicken Fun Fact:

A chicken with red earlobes will produce brown eggs. A chicken with white earlobes will produce white eggs. So does this mean that our Easter Eggers have green/blue ears?

Loving the chicken facts!!!! I am taking Speech in college and I have my speech on Monday on my favorite hobby. Yup I giving my speech on chickens to a bunch of 18 - 20 year old students. Needless to say they are my three oldest boys ages. Makes it very interesting for sure.

That's not always the case, though. There are a number of breeds that don't follow this rule. Two examples would be the silkie and old english game.
