Kelly, yeouch! I had a Dominique go broody last year, and she was quite protective of *her* eggs if anyone came too close. I'm pretty sure she booted another hen off the nest and that more than half were from the other girl, but finders keepers.

I'm setting speckled sussex in the next couple days; and for the hatch a long, I'm not sure. THe muscovys are laying well. The SS are laying; the marans are spotty. THe buff orpingtons are laying.

I have someone sending me some Welsummer eggs on the 6th, hoping the timing is right for the 9th. Will see, as you know, we never know with shipped eggs. You are lucky you can have roos..just walk outside, bring in some nice fertile eggs, and set. Fun!
I have some EE's set right now. 3 Barred Rock that are due to go into lock down on Tues. And, OE's that are due a day before the EE's. There are some beautiful big Marans she threw in too. One is huge! Not sure that will hatch. Will see. The other two aren't tiny!! Very large marans eggs, but are actually a mix. Not sure what they are supposed to be. Nice dark color though.

how do you get to regular internet sites from an xbox????? we have hulu and youtube and streaming netfilx so I know it's connected but haven't ever seen an option to go to regular internet sites!!???!!!

Xbox has an internet explorer app now that let's you get on any site that doesn't require flash to run. So you can get on BYC, but it's a pain to post from it if you don't have the controller keyboard. I'm on my fiance's laptop this time around.

And Yes they are Silkies!! 4 Silkies and 2 frizzled polish but those two are hiding under the tunnel!! 1 very nice blue, 2 blacks and a splash Silkie, and one of the frizzles has the strangest coloring I have ever seen! All black with 2 white toes and white wing tips on each side!! I will try to get a good picture in a couple days! Would be neat if "she" stayed that color We are very happy with them! Now to see how many roo's we end up with lol!

I have some local BYCers hooking me up with creme legbars, dorkings and Pekins. I have orders in for heritage barred rocks and giant jerseys from Frank Reece. I am still looking for SoCal buff orps and RIR
