so yesterday I was at my aunts house and suddenly the topic of my eggs got brought up since i Sell them to my uncles and dad's workplace. Well my uncle was saying how there was a chick in the egg and then i just about died because he thought the little speck was it actually beginning to form. my dad and i kept saying, 'THERE WAS A CHICK??? HOW?? DID YOU GET PICTURES?? AHHH!' we were going crazy. eventually he realized that it was just the fertility spot. I thought i owed a bunch of money back to people..

Good Afternoon Everyone. Hope your having a lovely Monday. About to get rain/snow here in the southern midwest. We are T-27 days till set day for Chicken Eggs.



In 1863 Charles Darwin published an inventory of all the chicken breeds existing at that time... All 13 of them. There are now over 150 different breeds.

I am off to surf the internet and see what 13 breeds he published................

Oh no! I know I am going to see another breed that I will JUST HAVE TO HAVE!

By then I'm sure there were way more than 13. Maybe 13 in northern Europe.

My roosters are in a bachelor pad now. I hope the weather will improve enough to let me put them back with the hens by the end of Feb so I can join the Easter hatch.
