Are these all the same photos of the same ducks? The first picture looks like Welsh Harlequin to me..only because I hatched some, and they look like them. I think. I can post my one and only hatch of ducks. Can't keep them here ~ but had to hatch some, because they are so darn cute. They got placed real quick. :) One guy took them to his huge property up the canyon. Loving life now I'm sure.

I love their little web feet! Now that I look at these pictures again, and yours, not
sure they look like the same kind of duck. All I know is, if I had the room, I would have
ducks! For sure!!
Ok, went to your thread..I see the breed now. Darling.

I don't think there is an off smell in their room. I don't know, I wonder if it could be something in the straw I'm using. I saw the Corid and using something for cows worries me a bit. I never medicate. Will FF work. I don't think I will be able to get a necropsy done before Monday.
FF is not a cure for anything..it is a preventative and great maintenance..If your birds are on FF they will not get cocci because it conditions the gut. But you might already have it..FF is not going to fix it..Corid is strong medication..I do not know the dose. It is written here on BYC in a cocci sticky..I would be guess if I said it is 1/4 tsp to a gallon of water..let me check

I checked..

1/2 tsp to a gallon of water

I'm so behind!!

Guess what?? Prim laid her first egg since going broody and raising her chicks! First egg in about 5 months from her!! Yay!

I went to Aitkin to pick up a Tom turkey from e fellow BYC'er today... On the way back from their place, I buried my truck in a ditch at the end of a very slippery county road... Had to call a tow truck to pull me out! Thank goodness for iPhones to look up,stuff like that when I'm in the middle of nowhere! I told my kids that's one expensive turkey! Lol!!!

Collected an egg today that was obviously cracked on one end. I think I have a perch layer. I'm not going to be able to use that egg for hatching

Not after everything I've been reading today. I put deeper pine shavings in the pen where the pullets are (nest box is out of the question right now) so hopefully that helps save any groundward-bound eggs.

I am so happy it's nighttime. It's been a long day with loooots of cleaning! Time for bed, good night all.

They weren't beig mean... They were joking that a lock in is like a lock down...(the last 2-3 days of incubation) you get no sleep etc...

Mean? He could not be mean with directions and a map..

I am confused .... I just posted that I wanted to join the hatch and then tried to explain what a lockout was and then whoever it was said the last 2-3 days of the hatch lol
I assumed I put my entry in wrong or I didn't understand the dates to start a new hatch sorry I will just try to stay off here I just wanted to enter the new hatch on the 9th of march if I am in the right place I dunno sorry
