I just walked into my bedroom and glanced out the window. My first thought..............how'd the turkeys get out? Nope, a flock of 31 full grown turkeys walking by. Of course when I opened the door to the deck they all moved to the far side of the lawn, but it was quite a sight.


I think he was trying to entice her into the next generation............LOL

Lol well my game hen just laid an egg and she hopped down from the nest box and the rooster went in behind her and nestled down on top of the egg and started making mama sounds. So I was just wondering lol!

There are whole threads talking about roosters wanting to set eggs. Crazy but I guess it happens. It certainly does with other breeds.

Nope, we get LOTS of wild turkeys. Usually it's a group of 6-15 or so. This was the largest flock I've seen at once, particularily walking along my deck!

The dang things eat EVERYTHING!

In the spring hens will come through with their poults. They usually start with around 15 and each day you see them with less and less. They are lucky if they raise a few each time. Lots of predators around here that pick them off.

Wow, thats a large rafter of Turkeys! Hate meeting them on the road though, they don't like to move
