I am hatching my first little group of eggs, ordered them from the breeder for next week and plan to set them, Friday or Saturday. I ordered Aruacanas, Barred Plymouth rock, Australorp and Barnevelder eggs. 10 in total to go under our broody the aptly named "Crazy" This is such a good idea, thanks for inspiration BYC! How lovely it is to show my children a real miracle for Easter!

I've been really busy today and I'm just getting around to posting. No broody, but I was able to set my duck eggs on time! I also just got back from Petco with a humidity guage. And, of course, I have a question. I know you have to calibrate the digital ones, but do you have to do it with the analogue ones? And if so, does anyone have a link?

Ok, I have my first saved eggs down in our basement, and I put my new digital thermometer/hygrometer next to them to check the temp and humidity. It says 58º F which is perfect, but only 48% humidity. Is that ok? And if not, how can I raise the humidity a little? Thanks!

I would say that that was perfect just remember to turn them a few time a day with an odd number of turns each day.

Just got done watching breaking dawn part2 with my wife. Its a good movie far better than the rest. Kinda hate for them to be over. Maybe Stephenie Meyers needs to write a series about Jacob and Renesmee.

Oh how was it? My DD wants to watch it we have seen all the other ones. I feel she is too young to watch it so I watch them first but we really like it.
