Okay, nothing exciting happened yesterday. NOTHING
i should be saying right now 'MY POLISH EGGS CAME! MY POLISH EGGS CAME!' where oh where could they be?

Can I join the fun? I can't wait to hatch some cute little chicks for Easter. I am going to be setting some Eng. Orps, OE, B/W AM, German New Hampshire, Marans and a few mixes just for fun. This will be my first time setting eggs under two broody hens, which I am a little nervous and excited about. Any pointers? It still seems a little chilly here in TN., but I ran out of room in the incubator.

How did you get broody hens? Two that spent most of last year broody are pointedly refusing to right now. I could do with their help!

We moved our bantam cochins downstairs to the basement and put them in a pen we built for them. Placed a heat lamp on top and within a couple days, she started sitting. We took the lamp away and she's been sitting since Dec!!!!

The broodies think that spring is coming?
Warmer temps, sugar maple sap flowing, flocks of robins invading my backyard, crows are mating, road weight restriction signs in place....yep, spring is in the air here! Weeeeee!

Good Friday morning everyone!! Hope you all have a great day. I will be heading to the docs today. I think I have tonsilitus and ear infection again... UGH...

Tomorrow is the big day!!!

The last of my eggs under the broody should hatch soon and then I'll be setting and undetermined number under her again. Will post pics and numbers once they are under her.. Might even put some in the incubator or Tues as that's when my bator babies will hatch.

I have made the deviled egg chicks before. They were a HUGE hit at the party and really easy to make.
