I've had my coffee and candled the eggs... development and movement in ALL OF THEM.

It may sound pathetic, but I was actually hoping for a dud or two

. I would like to be able to put my automatic turner back in. Maybe next time. I have a better light coming from ebay so hopefully I'll be able to see into my dark BR eggs & EE eggs easier.

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING EVERYONE !!! I am fixing to have to get my other incubator going. M;)y heritage sraight comb show quality Rhode Island Red hatching eggs will be here soon. I am eggcited about having a chance to get some of them. He specializes in them. Very strict with them. If any have off coloring even after second molt he culls. He strives to keep the best of the best in them.:D ok I admit I am addicted to hatching! ;) also looks like I will have to build a special pen for them:p

Make sure to post pics in rir heritage thread! :) I'm loving seeing all the different reds from different lines.

COFFEE...

That is all.

YES!!... I need it every morning just to keep up with thread lol :p

Boy, do we ALL have problems! Lol! There are worse things to be addicted to, for sure!

Absolutely lol mine happen to be dogs, crocheting and now chickens lol their could be worse!

I was hoping for some duds too, so don't feel bad. I just don't have the room for 33 chickens and originally ordered 24! Lol funny enough now I have '24' eggs developing lol I can only keep 10-15 but I have a very promising wonderful home lined up for some silkies IF everything goes well with hatch. :)

AWESOME!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!! YES!!!!!! whoot whoot!!

We have 13 in the brooder and 12 either drying off, pipped n resting, and a few zippers.
Harmony did well! she had one dead in the bunch, the rest are showing life to hatching!
We had 24 eggs shipped from CPL and about 6 of our own to start, therefore I am seriosly impressed with this shipped hatch!
CPL packed those eggs AWESOME and added heat packs, I think the difference with this batch was the fact that they were double boxed
and the boxes were LARGE and she had those big huge bubbles in the outer box with the heat packs, which I am sure took
most of the road jostling away! It probably is an expensive way to ship, but in the end I would think well worth paying extra
to have them packaged good!

WindDancer, sounds like fun!

I am trying to figure out reasons why I should NOT go and get new baby chicks at the feed store if all of my eggs scratch. Or why I shouldn't get frizzled Cochin eggs from a friend who's giving them away for free................

Well, I have fed the dogs, done the dog's shot, fed the cats, fed the flock, moved the feed, eaten breakfast, and caught up on this thread. It's back to bed for me, wahoooo! It's been such a long week. I was dizzy from exhaustion by the time I went to bed last night.
