Now the hovabator is saying it is 100.1. I added another thermometer into the bator, so 3 thermometers are saying 99 and the hovabator says 100.1-100.0. SO, I'm not going to freak out lol Just hoping we can make it through Lock down without any problems. Lock down will be Sunday evening!

Actually, a question on lock down, I set them at 8:20pm, should I set them at or around this same time? Or would it be ok if I set them into lock down earlier that day?

Update: Hello BYC
Just a little note on the latest of our 1st hatch of 3 from yesterday!

Our 2nd Group: 2 chicks, hatched around 12:45am 3-21-13. I just had to stay up, you know.

I finally got them into the brooder around 2 am and gave up to get some sleep.






Our 3rd Group: 3 chicks, hatched around 5:30am today. Got them into the brooder around 6:45 am.

Our 4th Group: Just started around with 1 chick hatched around 1:45pm today. I got a photo of her popping her head up and out of there.....

Soon to go into the brooder.

I have to say that this staggered hatch, is well, staggering!

I would like to follow up on the contest request for award prizes, but need a day to get me head cleared and some sleep. When is the cut off day for donations?

Today is day 13. This is a video of one of the silkie eggs that I candled. You can see the whole chick. It's pretty amazing. The last half of the video is a little more clear. You can see it kicking it's own head! It's head is on the bottom left, body curling up the right side, and the feet are on the top left. You can even see it's little beak!

Wow! Amazing video! Are you just using a flashlight? It is so clear!

That is the same thing we did. We have our (rarely used) Mac, hubby and I have IPads and our iPhones, and those are what we use daily. Hubby just got the iPad mini and actually likes that much better.

Sounds like us, except no mini iPad. I would consider it if my eyes weren't so bad!
