Oh noooo! I was behind on the thread, and just caught up here..that's is so sad! Which one? That is just crazy! Best get that darn cage safe I guess. You can come up with something.
Ugh! Two of my roosters have disappeared. The door to the bachelor pen was open and two were missing. I must not have latched it well yesterday.There was a pile of feathers near the door. They were gorgeous fellows. I didn't need them and actually had a new home for one, but I hate that they met a violent end.
Oh annnndddddd I pulled 14 eggs from the bator today. I am down to 17 eggs in the bator. Most of them are Olive eggers which I am very excited about but those were shipped. So most still have some wonky air cells. I think Im going to stop turning early. Maybe the air cells will even out just a bit more.

We are moving into the home stretch of the hatch-a-long. Some are still candling and tossing clears while others have early hatches. It is amazing to think about all of the cute chicks that will be hatching soon....
littlechicklet checked in--has not removed any eggs from the bator. Won't toss them unless they stink. My kind of thinking!
noahsmom is locking down today and working outside to take advantage of the nice weather.
joyfulPromise shared her Hatching results. 23 pulled leaving 4 maybes and 19 alive! Asked if she can feed the clears to the dog. Not if they stink!

Razadia posted about candling tonight. She said she was going to steal some copper wire to make a Tierra! I wondered what those copper thieves did with that copper and now I know! They make little crowns for chickens....
Poor RedIII! One of the chicks was pulled out and killed....Someone might need to get that varmint.

CayuseRanch commented on all the bad chicken losses recently on the thread. We were teased about a game cam that took 27 pictures. Now we have to wait until tomorrow to see them....
