I'm going to get waay behind on reading everyone's posts but I have to stay caught up on homework and final projects for school. Full time job+almost full time college student+mom+chief cook and bottle washer=NO FREE TIME! I'll update and try to catch up when I can. Good luck, everyone!

I don't post often here and I haven't been able to keep up very well (So.Many.Posts. lol)... But I wanted to post an update on my eggs
smile.png

I went into the kitchen to do something and smelt a faint smell when I leaned over the incubator... I figured this would be a good time to do my last candling and did the "sniff then look" routine (I must really look stupid when doing this lol, thankfully everyone else, mom and dad and all the pets, are asleep
roll.png
). Wouldn't you know it, the last egg to check was my stinky one
sickbyc.gif
. usually I will dig a small hole and do an inspection of what happened but It's late (11:00 pm) and I didn't want to wake anyone, but I didn't want to leave the egg in the incubator because I am always afraid of an exploding egg.... SO I decided that if I double bag the egg in two sandwich baggies then put that into a grocery bag that it **should** be ok over night and first thing tomorrow and crack it open (in the baggies, don't need to smell THAT..... I hope it doesn't "pop" tonight lol that would be a rude awakening
lau.gif
.

So I set a total of 22 eggs (6 duck eggs and 16 chicken eggs) with two infertile (1 duck and 1 chicken) and have this one quitter (how early I'm not sure yet!) chicken egg. That leaves 5 duck eggs (looking AWESOME
wee.gif
) and 14 chicken eggs (looking good as far as I can tell, in most I can see movement and veins, some are a bit to dark to see well...).

Anyways 19 eggs go into lock down in a few days
love.gif
. Unless I get anymore stinkers

LOL I'm right there with you with that stinky thing

I would throw it out (as looking to see what happened isn't extremely important) but If I throw the bag out onto the Porch to go into the garbage box tomorrow (it's near the woods, enough said lol) but the opossum would come up and grab it off (thus making the dogs go nuts...) sooo We will hope no popping occurs lol
