Congratulations. Pretty cute all right!

Just checked on my classroom hatch.... One was VERY STUCK and dried in the egg... Helped that one... One had pipped and drowned.... Five with no pips... One pipped... TWELVE hatched and fluffy

Oh how fun! I bet the kids went balistic!

Nothing yet here either..well, I did see one rock the night I put the shelf liner in. Just as I looked in at the eggs, one of them rocked. Haven't seen anything since. I love being able to say, tomorrow, I will probably see pips. That's when most of the action will start for everyone that set on the 9th. Pips..and some will hatch. Some may even get pips tonight. We never know. I've had my surprises in the past..little ones eager to get out.

Boy I have been so busy. Got my eggs in lock down yesterday at noon. Laid them down on their side. As it worked so good for me the last hatch.. I am not into candling so all eggs looked healthy (no Leakers) I expect non fertiles and quitters and just cannot outters. I like doing the eggchecks after the hatch. I just loved how nice the tops of the egg pipped off in last hatch. oh 113 eggs now to count down...
PS won my cream legbar eggs on Ebay Think I figured out this bidding thing.. LOL Back to work. Happy Hatching
Congrats on the CLs!

I don't have anything going on here, but it's only day 19. I don't expect anything to start happening until tomorrow or the day after.

Yes Ron, the slapping helps! LOL

So, I set on the 9th... so they're not due yet. I see that 2 of my 3 eggs that have pipped... have 3/9 written on them. So they are the ones that I had collected that day and I just put them in the incubator last minute "just cuz". I can't see the date on the 3rd egg. Could that be why they're hatching early? They were very fresh... likely still warm when I put them in. Hens do it.... so I figured I can too.
Yes, they did not go into stasis! That adds an extra day to the incubation!

Good job on that one!

The egg begins incubating in the hen and the cell divides several times before it is laid. That is how you can tell if an egg is fertile--The little white spot gets puffed up around the edges and looks more yellow.
