So an update on the whole egg snafu on Ebay: Ebay was VERY interested to know that a seller was soliciting money outside of auctions. I hope the seller enjoys what my 30 dollars bought them.

So, so sorry. I feel your pain.
Last month I heard a baby chick screaming his head off underneath the horse trailer. I went to investigate & saw one baby & like 23 eggs. No mom to be found anywhere. I scooped up the baby & put him in the brooder. Since there was no mom anywhere, I collected the remaining eggs & put them in my homemade cooler bator, but there were too many eggs (23) for my small bator. a total of 6 hatched. Of those, there was one very special one that I had to assist. I LOVED that baby! Sadly, she didn't make it. I have no idea why, but it drew me to tears.

Out of those 6, only 3 survived. When I eggtopsied the remaining eggs, I found at least 9 more fully developed chicks. That's when I decided my cooler bator was a piece of junk & bought a Brinsea. Couldn't deal with all that heartache again.

(((((Hugs)))))

My little white silkie with the hurt foot and had a rough start being stuck in its egg passed today :( he/she is so tiny when I get home from anywhere I look for it first. Sadly it was laying on its stomach and almost looked flattened :( I'm kind of a little relieved for this baby only because I knew something was off about him/her and I believe he/she was in pain. My other 13 babies are growing so quickly and seem healthy, I hope this will be my last loss. I have 8 eggs in the bator but not 100% sure they will take, I believe I'm going to order some more soon. Just a dozen, still looking at breeds and things but I am still happy with my 13.

If we had a prize for the longest quotes response you would have won! LOL  OMG how did you keep track of it all!

LOL! I just use the multi button and then when I'm ready hit reply and then hit preview. This way I can remind myself of what I wanted to put for each and then start replying...

Try using IE for PCs or Sarari for Macs.

My laptop, iPhone and work computer both allow me to hit multi and go to next page with 'multi' still intact from previous pages. Like posted above I would use IE and make sure I have the most up to date version.

Its funny how many people are still getting late hatches from this hatchalong. I cleaned out my bators yesterday and loaded them all up again for another hatch. Hoping to get a bunch of clears out in time to participate in the cinco de mayo hatch a long. I hear that group is a riot lol.

Oh and don't forget to post your numbers for the spreadsheet. I think Happy Chooks gave us until Friday??? I need like 2000+ more chicks to hatch so I can win!

I'm one of those late hatchers - its my first time round and I'm using an LG incubator, I'm betting that my temps were low through incubation and that's what the delay is. I went out and bought a second incubator (another LG - but they are only $35 at TSC) to start my next eggsperiment! haha I'm hooked before my first hatch has even finished!

Quote: I'm sorry, but congrats on the babies that made it. How strange that there was no mother. Obviously she sat on them long enough for them to develop and hatch. You will not regret the Brinsea bator.

Also sorry for the member that lost Cleo. There are always the special ones that melt our hearts.
