Okay so since this is my first time hatching eggs, and my first time joining this hatch-a-long, I would like some advice. I KNOW NOTHING!!! AHHHH IM SO WORRIED!!!!!
Like when they start to hatch, where do i put them? Do they stay in the Incubator?!
What do I do!?
Do I leave the eggs in there with them?:idunno
What temperature do they hatch at? I am so worried. :barnie
My mixed hatchlings are coming soon, LIKE VERY SOON!!!:jumpy Almost a week soon! In 13 days.
I have TWINS!? HOW DO THEY HATCH? DO I HELP THEM? DO TWINS HATCH EASY? :barnie :jumpy :jumpy

HELP ME!?!?!?!?!?!?! PLEASE!?!?!?!?! :bow  :th

Ok first of all breathe! It will be ok..
The biggest thing you need to do for the hatch is......leave it closed, the incubator that is. Leave the chicks in there till they are dry. They will hatch at the same temperature that you have been incubating them at. As for the twins, well there are not many people that have successfully had them hatch. Mostly due to their positioning in the egg. One chick will be at the air sack and the other will not. That is where the first problem can arise. If they really do make it to hatch you will have to help them. There are a few YouTube video's on helping twins hatch. You may want to check them out..

Hope this helps. It is hard waiting but just remember birds and eggs have been doing this far longer than we have. It will be ok. :)

Congrats to all you mama hens!!! My bator is also quiet........ Can't help but be jealous. I went into lock down before work this morning with 31 making the cut. Humidity is at 63% and shaved my head so I can't pull out my hair over the next couple days. Now I gotta find gloves so my nails are safe lol

What does LockDown mean?

It means to set up for hatching. remove the turner and either put the eggs in cartons or on their side in the incubator. Leave the lid on the incubator until they hatch as much as possible.

Are yours ready for lock down?
