No, I will probably be up all night with the poor thing, I feel so bad for it. I will be checking on it. But right now its fast asleep. I think its worn out.

Anyone know if Wheaten Ameraucana's are yellow and or yellow/blue chipmunks? Just about all my Ameraucana Blue Eggs came out yellow or yellow/blue. Just wondering, wasn't the color I expected. I thought they would all be brown chipmunks.

GOOD NIGHT and Happy Easter everyone! its 12:25 here in NC right now, and I just got back from watching Heaven is For Real......it was so inspiring and sweet!

This is my little sick* girl and her hatch mate behind her. Shes so tiny now! I feel so bad about what happened!


And a question on top of this... Why are my 3 week old so filthy. I keep their brooder clean. Change the bedding every 1-2 days and they still seem to get poo all over each other. They are very messy babies and I dont want to wash them cause i dont want to give them a chill.

If they are getting messy I would be changing out the bedding 2x a day or changing the kind of bedding used or the brooder size. I can't wait till our house is free of brooders for the season and I don't have to change things out so often!

I'm trying to come up with a bigger brooder idea. Maybe that is the issue. It doesnt help that a couple of them like to go on the roost and dive into the group that is sleeping. Its funny but messy
