I know I've been mostly MIA for the last few weeks...grandchildren, my garden, playoffs and a major allergy attack have all conspired to keep me so busy that I barely have time to blink before the day is already over. I hope everyone has weathered these storms well and all are safe and snug. I wanted to pop on here and thank you all for the help and companionship during this HAL. You are all fantastic and Maddy and I had so much fun. We also had the best hatch EVER and love our 23 little ones. I already have a favorite...my little Hedwig.

Hedwig.

The whole bunch of fluffers.

I just dug them some sod.

Here are the girls helping me to divide daylilies. I'm trying to get as many done as I can this week so that I can ship some off to friends and family.

Taking a break with my girl, Paprika.

Thank you all for making this my best and most rewarding hatch!

Wow beautiful!

Posting pictures for fun?? I took a couple yesterday because of where they were, in two different places. JD..isn't that a good thing..buy a horse, get one free? :D

It was chilly here yesterday, and the wind didn't help any. The girls love to come up
onto the back porch and lay where the sun is shining. These two were snuggled up
so close, had to get the picture. This is taken from indoors..looking our my big
long door window. They are laying up against the bottom of the door.

I went to check on eggs, these two were staring at me, I went to get my camera, the
leghorn had moved over..but this is the way it is. 6 next boxes, and they have to use the
same one! You've all heard it or seen it before. This morning, there were two others in this
box, and one waiting on the roost. Silly girls.

Why oh why do they do that? I have six nest boxes and they sill insist on laying in the same one. What makes it worse is that one of my girls (Henny Boo Boo) likes to take her sweet time on the nest and usually has a line of irate hens waiting on the roosts.

Shelby and tns..I have no idea what's up with them wanting the same nest box..and yes, sometimes it gets pretty noisy if someone is taking too long! lol..

Shelby..those are barred rocks right? Not the Dominique? I have a barred rock pullet out there. She is getting really pretty. Still a wait on eggs, probably 2 months. I love the red faces.

So this is the hen I lost to coyotes and we still haven't found her feathers...

MIA! We haven't gotten a coyote either...

Sally, fell better. :( Stay away from shrimp for a while, just in case. This is mama talkin. :p

Really hope it's just a 24 hr. thing. It's so hard to be sick as a mom. I remember those days. They need their mom, even if she is sick. Feel better cutie.

Rescued 4 Jenny's this weekend

and found out the mare I rescued in October 2013 is pregnant.

Wow, this is going to be a busy year.
