I am told they are really good eating. But most big farms that keep emus keep them for emu oil (you can look it up). I am just keeping these two for pets though.

ohh cool!! i wish i had the space for that were going to be at capaty with the turkeys and ducks i'm ordering at the end of the month

They grow fast! I wouldn't mind having one for a pet. That's a cute photo of them running together too. I bet they love running, and together.

How did the whole ER thing go? And did you find out what happened to your birds?

Doctors don't know. Yes, it was coyotes. Still have yet to shoot one as they have moved on already....

Don't get me wrong, I am as pleased as punch... but what about me says "give me free hatching eggs"? haha people just keep handing them over. these 39 eggs makes 63 free eggs this year... so far

3 marans, 6 black sumatra bantams, 6 lavender OEGB, 12 blue and splashed Ameraucana bantams, and 12 cubalaya bantams.

Lucky duck! I'm looking for hatching eggs of the jersey giant... I want a rooster to protect my flock! I miss my BCmaran rooster. Best gentle giant I ever had! First rooster ever to!
