Remember a few weeks ago i made a vanilla layer cake well today i made a chocolate layer cake.
Yum! I'm wrestling with myself on whether to make a lemon pound cake or not. I want to, but I don't want to eat it - if I make it, I WILL eat it.

my parents only "let" me have 3 but so far we are up to 7 plus the 7 Brahma chicks due sometime this week. I'm not to worried about them finding out they don't really pay much attention to me and what i do as long as it doesn't cost them a dime they don't care

Goodluck! The more chickens, THE BETTER!!! More fun to! <3

@ShelbyCoral I will be at Mt Hope Swap this weekend if you are still wanting Poliskies. Plus I have cochin bantams hatching.
OMG THAT IS THIS WEEKEND?! Oh my!!
I just hatched 4 beautiful chicks! + My rooster that protected my flock, left me 3 of the 4 beauiful chicks! still wondering who the father is for the 4th.... xD
I will have to ask my mom if if im allowed any more, She is still grieving over our RIR, Lucy.

Well, GUESS WHAT!? My first broody hen to hatch something hatched out 2 of our incubated eggs and 2 of the eggs she has been sitting on. Two look like twins(mixed breed, with black copper marans in them), I have an ancona/BlackCopperMarans, and a silkie somethin.... I DONT KNOW!? It's gold and black but with 5 toes and the 5th toes arnt even attached..... (like bone wise)

First one has a bit of d'Uccle color to its face and nice feathered shanks and feet like a d'Uccle chick. That's a lot like some of my darker d'Uccles look. Depending on who is the mama, this is potentially d'Uccle father. These are a couple of my d'Uccle pures at just a couple days old.

The last one looks a whole lot like one of my d'Uccle crosses. Here's a couple of my d'Uccle crosses. I found that most of them get a variation on the same pattern on their head and sometimes get some chipmunking down their backs. All of mine have the same mother (she's my surrogate broody in the pen to keep the eggs from getting too cold prior to collection for hatching), but she's not pure, so she throws some very interesting colors.

Looks to me like your d'Uccle is popular with the ladies.

No way!?!?! He has been locked up!? Woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Me and him need to have a talk about inviting girls into his room!!!
So this girl.

And this boy?

Equals this?

Oh my lordyyyy....
Yep totally. I could see that.

I crossed this hen (we are fairly certain she is part cochin):

With this roo (he is pure d'Uccle mille fleur):

And got the cross babies I posted in my last post, one of which looks a great deal like yours.

It's wicked fun to know exactly who the parents are of a specific chick. I have 2 more hatched from this cross just this evening. They are in the 'bator getting fluffed and so far, don't look anything like the other 5 I have hatched already.
