Maybe someone here can help me kind of id this baby. I'm pretty sure is a mixed breed bantam. But it seems to be silkie or frizzle. It has 8 toes total and send to maybe getting a crest.

Broody mama and her foster chicks :)

That is adorable! I sure hope some of my girls go broody this year! I've been running the incubator non-stop Since 2nd week of February!

But, I can keep my fingers crossed that it'll happen. My older girls are a year old now and I have successfully hatched out almost 100 babies from them this year already! yeah, I know what that means! But, most of them have been sold as they hatch! I just sold 31 babies and they only wanted 25! But, you know how it is, they are allllll soooooo cute you just can't make up your mind which ones you really want, so you take them all! Then of course about 10 minutes after they left 2 more popped out of their shells. I was kinda surprised as I hadn't even seen them pip! I decided to keep the final 8 eggs in there and see what happens since I had my hands full with the other incubator getting it cleaned and prepped for the next go around. Time got away from me and when I went back about 3 hours later I glanced in there and saw 4 more pips! I was blown away... 1 didn't end up making it. She hatched with a full yolk sac hanging and I quickly wrapped her in a damp paper towel and put her in a bowl. She was so LOUD! Every time she cheeped that bag filled up more and more! I was so devastated that I just knew she would pass. I decided to let her go for the night and check on her in the morning and see how she fared. Surprising, when I got up, she was doing so much better, almost all the way absorbed and seemed very strong, she even took some water from my finger tip. I went to work 1/2 day and when I got home, found her dead... I was sad... I thought for sure she would make it.

5 chickies ended up hatching from those final eggs, I was quite surprised, so to run down the totals:
In my still air incubator, set 41, 7 hatched
In my incubator with fan, set 41, 31 hatched

I know I want to install a fan in my other bator now!

Congratulations to everyone hatching and pipping out there! My next hatch should be in June!

My first adoption! 2 weeks old when my first chick hatched. He is now 8 weeks. Name is isaiah. He lives the chickens! My whole barn is full of babies! We have 1 cat who had 4 kittens but we kept one and gave 3 females to a family and kept the boy.
We have a goat in labor. I have a bunnies pregnant. 3 broods and my rooster stopped being broody.
Got 1 more broody in need to hatch eggs.
