I suspect one of my hatchlings died/drowned in the shell. I took out the one live chick from the incubator today, and one of the two remaining eggs was stuck to the bottom of the incubator. I took it off and there was a pip hole, but there was no movement from the little beak sticking out, and it looked like it had been there for a while. It pipped on bottom instead of on top.![]()
I must have candled wrong or something.
Should I try to work it out of the shell, or is it dead for sure?
I'm sure this has been answered, but I'll tell you what I would do. I'm a total newb, so I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
I would find the Assisted Hatching article (written by someone very smart here on BYC)
