Any thoughts about possibly an emu brooder cam? Been thinking when/if to do it.

So I'm scheduled for eggs to hatch Tomorrow... I noticed tonight an egg on the opposite side than I put it..like maybe it rolled...is this hatching activity or has someone bothered my eggs....

I thought about the wonder of lights as I am new to this all but then I got to seeing the danger of them as well, such as coops burning to the ground.... I don' think it is such a black and light issue!

A BYC member had the barn burn down last year because of an electrical problem.

No its not funny at all.. I love the Japonese. I had some only have a hen left right now. This was my little flock till a fox came. My Roo fought it but of course, he lost.

I love my Japanese! my poor rooster had that accident the other day and I felt so bad! on the new Years hatch I hatched 3 new japs. thought to be silkie eggs once again, but my breeder didn't realize he gave me a jap! hahahahah

I love this breed! now im using Cadbury for breeding with my 2 new hens!

I'm trying to get my "eggs in a row" before next Saturday's set date. Will be my first time incubating ~ SO excited!! Anyway - I'm wondering what everyone uses for a candler? Any good LED flashlight recommendations??

hahah! and funny thing was, my breeder was trying to keep his japs away from the public! LOL I got 4 eggs mistaken from a silkie....fooled me too not seeing feathery black feet! LOL I have gotten a total of 4 jap eggs and EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS HATCHED! oh what luck!

where did you get your japs before?
