This wasn't random when I thought it, but I lost the quote which would make it relevant: I think Gronk is such a perfect name for a frog.

/she said as she backed slowly out of the room.

I too thought it was a perfect name for a frog. I miss having frogs around. I grew up on a farm with a pond full of bullfrogs and marshy fields full of peepers. It's too quite (nature wise) where I live now.

I went to the contest for how many eggs set, and realized I'd have to look through 29 pages to see if my guess had already been take. Ain't nobody got time for that. I thought there has to be a better way. Now this has probably already been said, but for anyone else slow like me - the solution is to put your guess in the post search and see if it comes up. If not, you're good to go ahead and add your guess.

When I moved into my house we found a frog in the upstairs toilet - couldn't figure out how it got there but it must have been there a while. We relocated it to the pond. Watching the dragonflies and listening to the frogs makes moving down there worth it, even besides all the other perks like amazing sunrises and sunsets from the porches. :)

Now if I could fence off the pond so my half-frog dog will stay dry in the summer...

Hello, well after a day of rest I am finally starting to feel better. :) I hope everyone has had a good Monday! My chicks are starting to get their wing feathers in. (Where does the time go?) My son's ankle/foot is still very swollen.. Have not called the Orthopedic Dr. yet due to the swelling being so bad still. We are icing it regularly.
Only have a few days till my four ducklings hatch. They were set the day after I had set my chick eggs. Can't wait for them to hatch, they are so much fun to have around!
Welcome all new hatchers and chicken lovers!

You live in Winchester VA?! I lived there many a year ago! I loved it. That's where I got my love for chickens. My grandmother lived there. She lived in Stephen City first..that's actually where she had her chickens and geese, but it's in VA. that I loved gathering eggs for my grandmother. Winchester was in the city. My, I bet it's grown soo much.. This was back in the 60's! Loved, loved, VA!
