Set eggs tonight as I had let the shipped eggs sit 24 hours. 3 Silkies, 15 "Big GIrls" from my own flock, 12 Dominiques and 13 Domineggers (Dom male over EEs) from local flock, and shipped eggs - 4 Speckled Sussex, 4 Polish, 10 White Leghorn, 12 Naked Neck, and 6 Red Naked Neck for a total of 79 eggs.

hahahahaha...and I was afraid the fermented food would stink up the house!

All eggs have been received and ready to be placed in the incubators tomorrow.

Will have DH take pictures and if they are clear enough I will share. (We all have gifts but photography is not his.)

I just got 2 dozen eggs today, and then happened to see this thread just in time! I want to Hatch-a-long! Easter babies sounds so cute, not to mention fun!

UPDATE ON THE new CABINET COOLER BATOR!!
DOING AWESOME!!!

We took out the black coded eggs that are on day 16 and put them into one of our reg coolerbators to hatch out, as we need room to set for the Easter Hatchalong! these are now in the reg cooler......due to hatch Wednesday.



We filled up two trays and added them to the CABINET COOLER BATOR (I need to make another Cabinet cooler when the girls are back on laying track!)
ANYONE see anything WRONG With this image?????
NOTE to self, don't accept help from DH when adding eggs to the incubators!!! HA HA HA he is soooooo lucky I picked up on it!

This is my first time ever... I am trying to hatch some eggs from Lavender Ameraucana eggs. My hen is broody ( I think) and have 7 eggs to put under her. I am nervous. I really want this to work.

18 Barnevelders
15 Welsummers
1 Olive egger
4 Cream Legbars
3 BCM's

so 41 total.

Although I did try to tell you to set a lower, more reasonable number.

My other doe gave birth to 2 BIG girls today (to make up for all the boys yesterday.) Done kidding for the season. Now I can concentrate on the HAL again. Lol

Exciting part would be hacking up the smelt and krill to feed it !

My husband had a friend in his twenties that had a pet penguin. His dad was a Virgina politician and he would dress the penguin in a red bow tie and collar and take him with him to the social functions. That has left my DH with a passion for penguins ever since.
